And it’s a wrap!
Four days flew by, and in between visiting animals and shopping perfumes, and eating food, we pretty much lost track of time.
Oh yes, and a generous amount of time was (well) spent at the Big Bad Wolf sale, which was the highlight of the holiday.
We went to Umm Al Quwain zoo earlier today – a one time experience with most of the animals looking pretty disinterested, and rightly so. It doesn’t look like they are cared for, and I think I saw a dead tiger being carried away right in front of us. The staff too had a bad attitude…all in all, not something that should be encouraged, given the plight of the animals. Visit the Dubai Safari over this one anyday.
Also shopped for a few perfumes – and the story repeated itself. Retailers are pricing their products online and in store differently – the exact same thing, but discounted online, from the same store. Home Centre was one, and now Faces. I don’t know how long such a disparity can last – at some point, people will just end up coming to the store to try out the product, and then buy it online, with free delivery. Wonder how the stores will cover their high costs in such scenarios.
Anyhow, time to get back to work – a busy calendar ahead to end the year, and some celebrations still in store. Exciting times, tiring times, and challenging times. Can’t wait!
