Of toys and stories…

And so Keshav finally discovered ‘Toy Story’ today.

I had attempted to show him the movie around a year back, maybe it was too early back then. This week however, he started to speak about Mr. Potato Head and Buzz Lightyear, possibly introduced to him in school, and so I saw the opportunity. Saturday mornings are movie mornings, and so, after a healthy breakfast and photo session (the usual) in the backyard, we sat back, relaxed and dove into the world of Woody, Buzz and the host of other characters that we all have come to love so much.

Well…Keshav loved the movie as well:) And the song struck a chord with him…

We all know what will happen next Saturday!

On another note, someone messaged me asking what else I saw at the airport yesterday. Hmmm…let me try to pen down what else I felt instead…

Spent some time at the airport yesterday…

And thought of all those years and times…

When I sat there, to welcome people old and new…

The flowers remain the same, people change

The anticipation remains the same – a quirk of personality

A flashback of memories, some bad, mostly good

Times when I traveled and arrived to emptiness

and others when I got a hug, or two…

The parallels with life, where many walk alongside

But few walk with you

Destinations abound, but the search remains…

Some people sipping coffee, and having a snack

Strangers all, but somehow bound

by a common goal, to reach someplace.

And when I stand in the midst of them all

I search for my place, my journey, my destination

My relevance, which like others, will fade away

Just like those small encounters I have with strangers

Who travel with me, but not with me

And who share a few moments of their lives

in my company…at the airport…
