Why did Raju make the omelette?
To feed others apparently. And from the looks of it, he did a great job. And that’s why we trudged down to Raju Omlet – the only thing bad there is the spelling (American Omelet, British Omelette). Otherwise, it’s an egg connoisseur’s delight – a variety of eggs and maska Pau, washed down with cutting chai that thankfully isn’t Filli. An afternoon well spent.
A weekend well spent as well. Saw Tourist Family – a simple and funny tale of a good-hearted refugee who makes home in the homes and then the hearts of a small community in a large city(Chennai). A must-watch.
Also watched Golmaal Again, again. Keshav has taken a liking to Gopu the character, and for those who remember it, must know that we are now finding our fingers in various stages of twist – to the delight of the twister (aka Keshav) and to the chagrin of the twistees (his parents). Don’t know how many more viewings before he crosses this phase:|
In other news, confusion prevails about books, wheels and teachers – not necessarily in that order. Do we go to school, do we not…I spent a few minutes plucking petals off imaginary flowers (remember SRK in Darr?) before deciding that three hours of jump and dance isn’t worth a couple of hours in potential traffic. Besides, even the school prefers online for now – partly because a certain Goyal (cough cough monopoly) didn’t get the overpriced books to us on time.
So a 10-inch screen tomorrow morning it is.
We also completed 9 years of 10 Leaves, and I sent out a note to the team. But I don’t particularly like markers in life, and so I continue to do what I am doing tomorrow – no pauses, no looking back, no reminiscing. Sometimes looking ahead is much easier and much more exciting:)
All in a day’s work – for fans of the erstwhile Reader’s Digest.
See you tomorrow!
