Ee sala cup Namde!

Ee sala cup namde – on repeat mode.

I caught up with the IPL only to know that today was the finals – and that RCB was in it. Have been pretty disconnected from the tournament in general, but having a dekko at Bengaluru winning it the second time was not an opportunity to miss. Also, wanted to start introducing Keshav to the gentleman’s game – which incidentally, has lost the gentlemen a long time ago. From what little I managed to see (in between those irritating BNW ads and silly RAK Bank ones), cricket has lost a lot over the years – too many matches and too little invested by way of tribe interest.

But I want Keshav to know sport, to play sport. Sport is essential for the overall development of a human being. It teaches so much – discipline, focus, resilience, positive attitude, teamwork, the sportsman spirit…a way of life that cannot be fathomed sitting behind a desk. Studies are essential yes, but then, so is sport. AND EQUALLY.

In other news, we all limp back to work tomorrow, after a longer than required break. Monday will be chaos, and the first half of the week will mostly go in following up with those who were to get back last week, besides clearing a mountain of email (which I have been relentless at even in the holidays). A lot of exciting work ahead, but as always…time falls short:)

As I wrap up for the day, I see that King Kolhi has resolved to finish the match in half the time. Wondering how to do that tomorrow!
