An update on the UAE.
Thank you all – clients, well wishers, for messaging and calling and showing genuine concern on the happenings in the region.
I sat down and voiced a few thoughts of mine, some that echo the sentiment in the country, others that are mine alone.
Strategies, Business Continuity Plans, General Provisions aside, one can only theoretically plan for adversity, but true grit is what is demonstrated when adverse situations actually present themselves.
It is here that the UAE excels – plans have become actions – situations are being handled in a way that surprises many living outside, but not those inside. We have seen this before – during the financial crisis of 2008, during COVID, and numerous other occasions when the world was skeptical, but the country was resilient.
We are all safe, and working together to tide over this latest challenge thrown at us.
And we will emerge stronger, together, not because we are lucky, but because we will work harder to prove ourselves, and to prove that Dubai is not a story – it is a place filled with people who live, work and build their lives together. It has a heartbeat, it has a feeling – it is a place that we call home.
