So it was an eventful Sunday…or not, depending on how you look at it.
There was some work to be completed at home, and so we had workers in early. Good news is that a marquee piece of art has now found its pride of place, while another just missed by a few millimeters. More on this when we have a series on the art in the new home (you didn’t think I wouldn’t, did you?).
Some lighting also got taken care of, so well, the entrance is well lit now thankfully.
Also saw Lubber Pandhu, a Tamil film with relatively non-mainstream actors and some fine performances. The film was enjoyable and a big relief from the blood and political message-soaked movies that are being churned out from Chennai of late. The movie is on fully cricket, and interpersonal relationships – nothing complicated. It’s the writing that stands out and helps bring a smile and a cheer to you at the end of it. Do watch.
In other news, Keshav refused to sleep the whole of today. Those who are parents of young kids – yes, you do understand our pain. His crackling energy in the morning gave way to non-coherent ramblings by the time the sun set – so sleepy that he couldn’t stand, yet wanted to prance around and (us to) blow bubbles for his pre-historic friends.
Attempt no. 287 is on at present, and I am hoping that it is finally successful. He (and his dad) has a long day ahead tomorrow, so a good night’s sleep will be welcome.
